TMC to retrofit 86 vessels

4 March 2025 – TMC Compressors today announces that the company has been contracted by an undisclosed major shipowner to deliver new marine compressed air systems to 86 of the company’s vessels.

The large-scale retrofit project is conducted in connection with the installation of scrubbers on board the 86 vessels in question. TMC will provide new marine compressors for each of the vessels. The company has not disclosed the value of the contract.

“This is not a particularly technically challenging delivery, but the ability to repeatedly deliver high-quality compressors to such a large number of vessels both encourages and forces us to constantly deliver on the highest level. That is easier said than done, but we have proved in the past that we possess the right mindset to achieve this,” says Hans Petter Tanum, TMC’s director of sales and business development.

Tanum refers to the fact that TMC a few years ago was tasked to supply marine compressed air systems to 50 vessels from the same shipowner.

TMC is headquartered in Oslo, Norway. The company delivers marine compressors that have been designed solely for marine and offshore use.
